Living Classroom Boats

Living Classroom Boats at the Lancaster Street Basin. By Leslie Schwing
Medium; pastel on paper, c1998, Size; 11"x25"
These row boats at the Lancaster street basin are used to teach young students rudimentary maritime skills. Particularly gifted students often move on to more "seaworthy" vessels and may one day find themselves at the helm of an historic SkipJack.
